Iris Aloia was born in Kassel Germany and moved to the US where she became a US citizen as a young girl. She spent her childhood years in Western Washington state, but her family’s sense of adventure led them to move to Alaska when Iris was just a teenager. After graduating high school, Iris attended the University of Alaska, where she met her husband of over 30 years. She lived and adventured in Alaska for 23 years, hiking, fishing and accumulating plenty of bear and wildlife stories. After their son was born, they moved to Washington State to pursue job opportunities and raise their son. Her husband is a Florida born native whose large family has lived in the Fort Myers and Cape Coral area for over a century, opening one of the first grocery stores in Ft Myers. Iris and Chris moved to Fort Myers to be near family but after falling in love with Sanibel Island, they decided to make Sanibel their full-time home in July of 2022.
Iris comes from an extensive sales and management background in the building Industry which compliments her extensive Real Estate experience as a landlord, a luxury vacation rental owner, a value-add Real Estate investor and Sales professional. Prior to selling Real Estate in Washington and Florida, Iris had a long carrier as a Territory Manager for large manufactures selling and marketing everything from flooring and countertops to dry wall, siding and roofing materials. Her last role was with CertainTeed where she was responsible for the Western US including Alaska and Hawaii. In addition to sales, Iris’s breadth of experience includes managing her single-family rental properties in Washington State, her luxury golf and tennis vacation property in Fort Myers and remodeling four single family homes.
