The SanCap Chamber of Commerce recently posted information from Captains for Clean Water asking us to take action to save our beautiful water. “Big Sugar” is suing over a critical Everglades restoration project, the EAA reservoir. Currently under construction, the reservoir will offer great relief from damaging Lake Okeechobee discharges. This reservoir would allow discharges to be stored, cleaned and sent south, saving the Everglades and reducing toxic coastal discharges. This lawsuit threatens the completion of this project.
