123, 123……..has me humming a waltz! According to numerologists, the compelling “123123” sequence is not just musical, but magical to many. Some think of it as an “angel” number associated with high energy and new beginnings. But I like to think of it as one of the many odd, fun numbers! Think about it. Odd numbers are much more interesting than even. Gregg Opelka of the WSJ asks us to consider American sports…..football, basketball and baseball. All feature an odd number of players on their teams (11, 5 and 9 respectively). Even “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” have 3 players pitted against each other. Hollywood has been avoiding even-numbers for decades. Remember “Ocean’s 11”? “The Seven Samurai”? “The 39 Steps”? Jeff Grady’s book “Six Days of the Condor” was even retitled for the Robert Redford movie “Three Days of the Condor”. And let’s not even start on the seven deadly sins!
