The Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ invites the public to its 36th annual Christmas Eve service on the shores of Lighthouse Beach. The service begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 24. Free parking for the service is available and attendees are asked to bring their own beach blankets and chairs. While all participants will be given a candle, everyone is asked to bring a flashlight because it will be very dark by the time the service concludes. Offerings will benefit local charities including FISH (Friends in Service Here) of Sanibel and the Salvation Army.
